What is Acidurin?
Acidurin containing the active ingredient ammonium chloride is considered a urinary acidifier for cats and dogs. The medication is used in the prevention and treatment of urinary tract infections and reduction of crystals or stones in the urine of cats and dogs. Some people may also use the medication to allow easier bladder flow for pets.
How is Acidurin used?
Acidurin should be taken once or twice per day as directed by a veterinarian. The usual dosage is 1 tablet for every 5kg of the pet's bodyweight. Contact a veterinarian for correct dosage as it will depend on the pet's condition and their response to the medication.
