What is Admenta 10?
Admenta 10 containing the active ingredient memantine hydrochloride is considered a NMDA receptor antagonist type of medication. The medication is used to treat moderate to severe dementia related to Alzheimer's disease. It works by decreasing abnormal activity in the brain to help people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease slow down the damage to brain cells and perform daily activities more easily. It can be used to treat Alzheimer’s disease but cannot be used to cure it.
How is Admenta 10 used?
Admenta 10 is usually taken 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. The doctor may occasionally change the dosage to provide the best results from the medication.
Adverse effects
Patients using Admenta 10 may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
