What is Alanase Nasal Spray?
Alanase Nasal Spray is considered a corticosteroid used to prevent and treat allergic rhinitis commonly caused by hay fever and other allergies. The active ingredient beclomethasone dipropionate can prevent reactions such as sneezing, itching and runny or stuffy nose when in contact with irritants such as pollens, pollution or pet fur. Some people may also use the spray to shrink and prevent nasal polyps from returning after surgical removal.
How is Alanase Nasal Spray used?
Alanase Nasal Spray should be used as directed by a doctor, usually inhaled 2 to 3 times per day at evenly spaced intervals. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the treatment. Gently blow your nose to clear it before administering the spray. Shake the spray well before use. Close one nostril by placing a finger against one side of your nose. Tilt head forward, insert nozzle to the other nostril and push down firmly on the collar to administer one spray. Breathe out through the mouth and repeat the process for another dose if necessary and also on the other nostril. Wipe the nozzle clean and replace the cap.
