What is Arrow-Azithromycin?
Arrow-Azithromycin containing the active ingredient azithromycin monohydrate is considered a macrolide antibiotics type of medication. The medication works by stopping the growth of bacteria in the body. It can be used to treat certain conditions caused by bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia and sexually transmitted diseases as well as infections of the lungs, ears, sinus, skin or throat.
How is Arrow-Azithromycin used?
Arrow-Azithromycin is usually taken orally once per day for 1 to 5 days or as directed by a doctor. To prevent an upset stomach, the tablets should be taken with some food along with a full glass of water. Try to take the medication at the same time each day as it is most effective when the amount of the drug in the body is kept at a constant level. Contact a doctor for correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the medication. Do not discontinue the treatment without consulting a doctor as abruptly stopping the medication may cause the infection to return and the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics.
