What is Arrow-Ranitidine 300?
Arrow-Ranitidine containing the active ingredient ranitidine hydrochloride works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. It belongs to a class of medications known as a H2 receptor antagonist. The medication is used to treat stomach ulcers, a condition where backwards flow of acid causes heartburn and injury of the esophagus known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and the condition where the stomach produces too much acid called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
How is Arrow-Ranitidine 300 used?
Arrow-Ranitidine should be taken orally as directed by a doctor, usually once or twice per day. The tablets should be taken 30 to 60 minutes before a meal to prevent heartburn when eating or drinking foods that can cause heartburn. Contact a doctor for the correct length of treatment and dosage as it will depend on the weight, condition and the patient’s response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the treatment without consulting a doctor as it may delay the healing of any ulcers.
Adverse effects
Arrow-Ranitidine may cause unwanted side effects such as:

Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Arrow-Ranitidine 300 is not always suitable for all patients.
