What is Atorlip-10?
Atorlip (Atorvastatin Calcium) is considered a HMG CoA reductase inhibitor, also known as a statins type of medication. It works by lowering “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while also raising “good” cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. Lowering cholesterol levels in the body can help decrease the risk of strokes, heart attacks or other heart complications.
How is Atorlip-10 used?
Atorlip-10 is usually taken orally once per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with plenty of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. Avoid consuming grapefruits or grapefruit juice while using the medication as it may alter the amount of the drug in the bloodstream.
