What is Benzac AC Wash?
Benzac AC Wash containing the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide has an antibacterial effect on the skin. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications in the treatment of mild to moderate acne. The medication can help kill bacteria, reduce inflammation and unplug blocked pores to help with exfoliating your skin. The face wash also has a mild drying effect, which allows excess oil and dirt to be easily washed away from the skin.
How is Benzac AC Wash used?
Benzac AC Wash is usually used 1 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. You may want to start with using it once per day to see how your skin reacts to the medication. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. To apply the face wash, wet the affected area and gently rub the cleanser into the skin. Work into a full lather and wait for 1 to 2 minutes before rinsing it off. Dry the area gently with a towel.
Adverse effects
Benzac AC Wash may cause unwanted side effects such as:
- Dry or peeling skin
- Stinging, burning, itching or redness at application site
- Dizziness
- Warmth or tingling feeling

Warnings
