What is Carloc 25?
Carloc works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels to help the heart pump blood more smoothly and efficiently. The active ingredient carvedilol belongs to a class of medications called beta blockers. The medication can be used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and chronic heart failure. Some patients who have suffered a heart attack may also use it to improve the chance of survival if the heart is not pumping well.
How is Carloc 25 used?
Carloc should be taken orally as directed by a doctor, usually 2 times per day. The medication should be taken with a full glass of water along with or just after a meal. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the therapy. The doctor may prescribe a low starting dose and gradually increase the dosage to allow the body to adjust to the medication. Do not discontinue the treatment without consulting a doctor, even if you feel well, as there are usually no visible symptoms related to hypertension.
