What is Carloc 6.25?
Carloc is usually used to treat chronic heart failure and hypertension (high blood pressure). The active ingredient carvedilol is considered a beta blocker that works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels to help the heart pump more efficiently and smoothly. Some patients with a history of heart attacks may also use the medication to improve the chance of survival if the heart is not pumping well.
How is Carloc 6.25 used?
Carloc is usually taken orally 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication should be taken with or just after a meal along with a full glass of water. Dosage and length of treatment will depend on the patient's condition and response to the therapy, contact a doctor for the correct dosage. The doctor may prescribe a low starting dose and gradually increase the dosage to allow the body to adjust to the medication. Do not discontinue the therapy without consulting a doctor, even if you feel well, as hypertension usually has no visible symptoms.
Adverse effects
Carloc may cause unwanted side effects such as:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Dry cough
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Dizziness
- Cold hands or feet
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or encounter more severe side effects such as:
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing

- Joint pain
- Blurred vision
- Decreased sex drive or erectile dysfunction
- Loss of bladder control
Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Carloc 6.25 is not always suitable for all patients.
