What is Cefadur-250 DT?
Cefadur containing the active ingredient cefadroxil is considered a cephalosporin antibiotics type of medication. The medication works by stopping the growth and killing the bacteria that is causing infections. The broad spectrum antibiotic can be used to treat bacterial infections to the urinary tract, skin, respiratory tract, ears, nose and throat. It can be used to treat bacterial infections but cannot be used to treat viral infections such as the flu or common cold.
How is Cefadur-250 DT used?
Cefadur is usually taken orally 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. To prevent an upset stomach, the tablets should be taken with some food or a glass of milk and a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. Continue to take the medication until the full prescribed course is completed, even if systems disappear before then, as abruptly discontinuing the medication may cause a relapse of the infection and the bacteria to become immune to the antibiotic.
