Champix containing the active ingredient varenicline tartrate is considered a smoking cessation aid type of medication. It should be used along with counseling and a support group to help you quit smoking. Quitting smoking can decrease the risk of heart and lung diseases such as cancer.
How is Champix 4 week Pack used?
Champix should be used following the directions on the dosing package or as directed by a doctor. The tablets should be taken with a full glass of water after eating a snack or meal. Dosage will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy, contact a doctor for the correct dosage. The full course of the treatment is usually 12 weeks, contact a doctor if you have not stopped smoking at the end of 12 weeks.
Adverse effects

Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
