What is Cipflox?
Cipflox can be used to treat bacterial infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, conjunctivitis, bronchitis, gonorrhea, pneumonia and skin infections. The active ingredient ciprofloxacin hydrochloride is considered a fluoroquinolones antibiotic that will help fight, stop the growth and kill the bacteria that is causing the infection. People who have been exposed to the anthrax bacteria in the air may also use the medication to prevent and treat anthrax infections. The tablets can be used to treat bacterial infections but cannot be used to treat viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
How is Cipflox used?
Cipflox is usually taken orally every 12 hours or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct length of treatment and dosage as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. The medication should be swallowed whole and not chewed, split or crushed before consumption as the tablets usually have a bitter taste. Continue the medication until the fully prescribed amount if finished, even if all symptoms seem to have healed, as abruptly discontinuing the medication may cause a relapse in the condition and the bacteria to become immune to the antibiotic.
