Some patients may also use the patches to prevent postmenopausal bone loss (osteoporosis) and other ovarian disorders.
How is Climara-50 used?
Climara should be used as directed by a doctor, usually one to two times per week. Some women may wear the patch regularly or on a rotating schedule of alternating 3 weeks of the patch being worn and 1 week without the patch. To apply the medication, remove the protective liner and press the sticky side onto the skin and press down on it for at least 10 seconds to ensure it will be firmly attached for the whole week. Apply the patch to a clean and dry area of the skin on the buttocks or buttocks. Alternate the application area each time you apply a new patch. Do not apply the patch to oily, irritated or damaged skin as well as any area near or on the breast.
