What are Clindamycin Hydrochloride Drops?
Clindamycin Hydrochloride Drops is a broad spectrum antibiotics for pets belonging in the lincosamide class. The medicated solution is a quick and effective form of treatment for dental, soft tissue, skin and bone infections in dogs and cats. The antibiotics work by stopping the growth of bacteria in the pet and allowing their own immune system to kill the bacteria. Some pet owners may also give the medication to treat toxoplasmosis, an infection caused by protozoa.
How is Clindamycin Hydrochloride Drops used?
Clindamycin Hydrochloride Drops should be given to the pet 1 to 2 times per day for up to 28 days unless otherwise directed by a veterinarian. The solution can be given directly to the pet or added to their food for self consumption. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the pet's weight, condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the treatment without completing the prescribed amount as it may allow the bacteria to return and become immune to the antibiotic.
