What is Cognitol?
Cognitol containing the active ingredient vinpocetine is a non-toxic supplement which is derived from the periwinkle plant and is primarily used to aid brain function. It works by increasing blood flow to the brain, leading to increased levels of oxygen and glucose within the brain. It is commonly prescribed to patients who suffer from Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, or a hypoxic injury. Recently the medication has gained popularity as a nootropic to increase general brain function.
How is Cognitol used?
