What is Coresatin?
Coresatin is a nonsteroidal healing cream to be used with pediatric patients. It is used as a soothing skin repair barrier cream that promotes the skin’s natural healing process. The special formula will form a film over the surface of the affected areas on the skin to prevent the evaporation of water. It will keep the skin moisturized and smooth to improve the healing process as well as preventing irritants, allergens and microorganisms from antagonizing the skin. The medication is used to treat dermatitis, insect bites and severe diaper rashes.
How is Coresatin used?
Coresatin should be applied topically as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for correct dosage as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the medication. The cream is steroid free and is safe to use on large areas, on a daily basis even over a prolonged period of time.
Adverse effects
Coresatin is generally well tolerated with minimal side effects.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
