What is Dandrop Lotion?
Dandrop Lotion shampoo contains the 2 active ingredients ketoconazole and zing pyrithinone. The medicated shampoo can be used to treat certain fungal or yeast infections of the scalp. It works by preventing the process of fungal growth and allowing the immune system to fight the infection. It is mainly used to treat conditions such as dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis.
How is Dandrop Lotion used?
Dandrop Lotion is usually applied topically 1 to 2 times per day or as otherwise directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. The shampoo should be applied to a wet scalp and massaged until it creates a lather that covers the affected area. Leave the medication in for a few minutes before washing it off. Do not discontinue the treatment without consulting a doctor as prematurely stopping the therapy may cause a severe relapse of the infection.
