What is Diclax SR?
Diclax SR is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) type of medication used to relieve pain and inflammation in the body. The active ingredient diclofenac sodium blocks the production of the natural substance prostaglandins to reduce inflammation and pain when an injury occurs. It can be used to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including arthritis, gout, sprains, fractures, dislocations, back pain, tendinitis and frozen shoulder. Some people may also use it after orthopedic, dental and minor surgeries to relieve pain and inflammation.
How is Diclax SR used?
Diclax SR should be taken as directed by a doctor, usually once daily. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s reaction to the medication. The tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed, chewed or broken to prevent too much of the drug from being released at one time.
