What is Dicoliv-MR?
Dicoliv-MR is a combination of the active ingredients diclofenac potassium, paracetamol and chlorzoxazane and is considered a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by preventing the release of the natural substance prostaglandins which will help relieve inflammation, pain and irritation in case of an injury. It is mainly prescribed to treat acute gout, arthritis, lower back pain and migraines. Some people may also use the medication to treat menstrual pain.
How is Dicoliv-MR used?
Dicoliv-MR should be taken orally as prescribed by your doctor, usually 1 to 4 times per day. To prevent an upset stomach, it is recommended to take the tablet with plenty of water along with some food. Contact a doctor for correct dosage as it will depend on the treatment being treated and the patient’s reaction to the medication. It should be taken whole and not crushed, split or chewed to prevent too much of the medication to be released at one time. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor as it may lead to a relapse in the condition.
