What is Divaa-250?
Divaa can help maintain mental balance by increasing the amount of certain natural substances in the brain. The active ingredient divalproex belongs to a type of medications called anticonvulsants or antiepileptics. The medication can be used to treat certain types of seizures disorders as well as psychiatric conditions such as bipolar disorder and mania. Some people may also use the tablets to treat migraine headaches but it cannot be used to relieve any headaches that have already begun.
How is Divaa-250 used?
Divaa should only be taken orally as directed by a doctor, usually 2 to 4 times per day. The medication should be taken with some food along with a glass of water to prevent an upset stomach. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor, even if you experience side effects, as abruptly stopping the treatment can cause a long lasting, severe and even possibly fatal seizure.
Adverse effects
Divaa may cause unwanted side effects such as:
- Hair loss
- Changes in appetite or weight
- Vomiting
- Nausea
- Drowsiness
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or encounter more severe side effects such as:
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Unusual bleeding or bruising
- Worsening seizures
- Jaundice
- Blurred vision
- Loss of coordination
- Mental or mood changes
Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Divaa-250 is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.
The correct dosage and prescription commonly depend on the patient and the condition being treated. Do not adjust your dosage without the approval of your health care provider. This product is only for use as prescribed and instructed. |
