What is Donecept-10?
Donecept containing the active ingredient donepezil hydrochloride is considered an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor type of medication. The medication can improve mental function by increasing the amount of certain natural substances in the brain. It can be used to treat dementia related to Alzheimer’s disease. The tablets will not cure Alzheimer’s disease but it may improve memory, the ability to think, communication and the ability to perform daily activities.
How is Donecept-10 used?
Donecept-10 is usually taken orally once per day at bedtime or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the treatment. The tablets should be taken whole and not split, crushed or chewed as it can increase the risk of side effects.
Adverse effects
Patients using Donecept-10 may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

- Weight loss
- Headaches

- Insomnia
- Fainting

Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Donecept-10 is not always suitable for all patients.
