What is Doverin-40?
Doverin containing the active ingredient drotaverine is considered an antispasmodic type of medication. The medication works by inhibiting phosphodiesterase in the body with no anticholinergic effects. It can be used to treat pain and dysfunction caused by smooth muscle spasms. It is mainly prescribed in the treatment of intestinal biliary and renal colics, irritable bowel syndrome and uterine spasms.
How is Doverin-40 used?
Doverin is usually taken orally 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water. Adverse effects
Patients using Doverin may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
