What is Doxine-100?
Doxine containing the active ingredient doxycycline hyclate is considered a tetracycline antibiotic type of medication. The medication works by interfering with the ability of bacteria to produce essential proteins and prevent their growth. It can be used to treat a variety of bacterial infections such as acne, periodontitis, gonorrhea, Lyme disease, chlamydia, pneumonia, bronchitis and infections to the urinary tract, sinus, and skin. Some people may also use the tablets to prevent malaria.
How is Doxine-100 used?
Doxine is usually taken orally 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets work best taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour prior to or 2 hours after a meal along with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the therapy. Continue to take the medication until the prescribed amount is completed, even if the symptoms have disappeared, as abruptly stopping the medication can lead to the infection returning and the bacteria becoming immune to the antibiotics.
Adverse effects
Patients using Doxine may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
