What is Drontal Plus?
Drontal Plus is a medication prescribed to treat infections caused by parasitic worms in dogs. It disables the organisms, allowing the body to destroy them naturally or be passed out through the digestive tract. It may also be used to treat other unlisted conditions determined by the veterinarian.
How is Drontal used?
Drontal Plus is typically prescribed to be administered once each day for a period lasting several weeks to ensure the complete destruction of the worms. Do not interrupt this cycle, even if the symptoms have disappeared, as it may not be completely gone and can return stronger or more resistant to medication. The doses can be taken with or without food, but the tablet may need to be hidden in a snack if the dog has difficulty swallowing it. It is also recommended to take the medication at the same time each day to keep the same amount of medicine in the body for the most efficient use. During the cycle of treatment, consult your veterinarian regularly so that your pet’s condition and response to symptoms can be monitored.
