What is Eflora Cream?
Eflora containing the active ingredient eflornithine is a skin preparation to reduce hair growth. It works by blocking certain natural substances located in the hair follicle that is needed for hair to grow. It can be used by women to reduce the rate of unwanted hair growth on the face, around the lips and under the chin. It may also make the unwanted facial hair finer and lighter but will not remove hair or cause hair to fall out.
How is Eflora Cream used?
Eflora should be applied topically twice per day, at least 8 hours apart or as directed by a doctor. The medication can slow hair growth but cannot prevent it, you should continue with your current method of hair removal while using the cream. Wait at least 5 minutes after hair removal before applying the cream. Wash and dry the affected area before applying the medication. Apply a thin layer to the affected area and massage into the skin until it is absorbed. Wait at least 4 hours after applying the cream before washing the area where it was applied.
