What is F-Pecia?
F-Pecia containing the active ingredient finasteride is used to slow hair loss and promote hair regrowth in adult men. The medication can treat male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) at the crown or the middle of the scalp by preventing the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). When used in certain doses the tablets can be used to treat other symptoms such as hormone replacement therapy and benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH).
How is F-Pecia used?
F-Pecia should be taken once per day unless otherwise directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken along with plenty of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. It may take up to 3 months before the full effects of the medication are felt. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor as stopping the medication can cause the loss of all newly regrown hair within 12 months.
