What is Farobact 200?
Farobact 200 containing the active ingredient faropenem is considered an antibacterial type of medication. It works by preventing bacteria cells from reproducing by affecting their ability their ability to absorb protein. It is used to destroy gram negative and gram positive bacteria. The medication can be used to treat bacterial infections such as sinusitis, otitis externa, pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, adnexitis, Lymphangitis and acne. The drug can be used to treat bacterial infections but cannot be used to treat viral infections such as the flu or common cold.
How is Farobact 200 used?
Farobact 200 is usually taken orally 1 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a full glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s response to the therapy. Continue to take the medication until the fully prescribed amount is complete, even if symptoms have disappeared, to prevent the infection from returning and the bacteria from becoming immune to the antibiotic.
