What is Fiprofort Plus?
Fiprofort Plus containing the active ingredients fipronil and s-methoprene is considered an insecticide type of medication for pets. The medication is a fast acting, long lasting and convenient formula used in the treatment of fleas, ticks and chewing lice. The treatment will last for up to a month and is very useful if your cat loves to go outside to play or mix with other animals. It is also waterproof and will remain effective even after the cat takes a bath. The solution not only will kill adult fleas but can also penetrate newly laid eggs to prevent reinfestation.
How is Fiprofort Plus used?
Fiprofort Plus should only be applied topically once per month or as directed by a veterinarian. To apply the medication, part the hair at the back of the cat’s neck, break the snap off top of the pipette, place the tip on the neck and squeeze gently to empty its contents onto the skin. Do not allow treated cats to lick each other or rub against other animals or humans until the application site is dry.
Adverse effects
Fiprofort Plus is generally very well tolerated but may cause mild discomfort. Contact a veterinarian immediately should you notice any irregularities in the pet.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Fiprofort Plus is not always suitable for all animals. Always consult your veterinarian prior to using this medication if your pet is pregnant, breastfeeding, breeding, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if it has any allergies or other health problems.
