What is Fiprofort Plus?
Fiprofort Plus is a fast acting, long lasting and convenient formula used in the treatment and control of ticks, fleas and chewing lice in small dogs. The active ingredients fipronil and s-methoprene belongs to the phenylpyrazole family of insecticides. Treating infestations can decrease any excessive scratching your dog may experience. The medication can kill fleas of all ages from adult fleas to penetrating newly laid eggs to prevent reinfestation. The waterproof solution is very useful to prevent infestation if the pet likes to go outside to play or mix with other animals.

How is Fiprofort Plus used?
Fiprofort Plus should be applied topically once every 2 weeks to 1 month or as directed by a veterinarian. To apply the medication, break the snap off top of the pipette along the scored line. Part the hair at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip on the skin and squeeze gently to empty all the contents onto the skin. Do not allow treated pets to lick each other or rub against other animals or humans until the application site is dry.

Adverse effects
Fiprofort Plus is generally very well tolerated but may cause mild discomfort. Contact a veterinarian immediately should you notice any irregularities in the pet.

Warnings
The medication should be used for puppies from 8 weeks of age and small dogs up to 10kg.

Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.

Fiprofort Plus is not always suitable for all animals. Always consult your veterinarian prior to using this medication if your pet is pregnant, breastfeeding, breeding, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if it has any allergies or other health problems.

The correct dosage and prescription commonly depend on the animal and the condition being treated. Do not adjust the dosage without the approval of your veterinarian. This product is only for use as prescribed and instructed.
