Uses
Forcan (Fluconazole) is a type of triazole antifungal medication, which works by slowing down the growth of fungi responsible for causing infections. It is widely used to treat and prevent many different fungal infections, such as lung, bladder and genital infections. Doctors also prescribe it to treat meningitis or to prevent fungal infections in patients considered to be at risk of infection due to a weaker than normal immune system, such as those undergoing cancer treatment or those affected by AIDS.
Dosage and Administration
Before you begin taking Forcan (Fluconazole) tablets, it is necessary to consult your doctor for a medical consultation. Your doctor will determine the right dosage required to treat you based on the severity of your condition. Patients are generally told to take this medication once per day, and treatment can last for several weeks, or in some cases, even longer. Remember that you are required to continue treatment until you have finished the entire amount of medicine prescribed to you. Stopping treatment early can result in a return of symptoms.
