What is Fungilin?
Fungilin containing the active ingredient amphotericin is an antifungal type of medication. The medication works by disrupting cell membranes to kill fungi and yeast. Sucking on the lozenges allow the medication to act directly on the area of infection and is used to treat oral thrush or Candida.
How is Fungilin used?
Fungilin is usually taken orally 4 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The lozenges should be sucked on and allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy.
Adverse effects
Fungilin is generally very well tolerated but may cause minor side effects such as:
