Meloset works by adjusting and regulating the body’s internal clock and sleep-wake cycles. It is mainly used to treat jet lag, delayed sleep phase syndrome (DSPS) as well as insomnia associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), high blood pressure medications and children with developmental disorders.

Meftal containing the active ingredient mefenamic acid is considered a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) type of medication. It works by blocking the action of certain substances in the body that causes fever, pain and inflammation. The medication is mainly prescribed as a short term treatment of mild to moderate pain caused by abnormally heavy or painful menstrual bleeding.

Maxalt Melt containing the active ingredient rizatriptan benzoate is a serotonin agonist commonly used as a painkiller to relieve migraine attacks. The medication works by narrowing the blood vessels around the brain and reduces substances in the body that can trigger nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, headache pain and other migraine symptoms. The treatment can be used to treat migraine headaches but cannot be used to treat common tension headaches.

Luprac containing the active ingredient trasemide or torsemide is considered a loop diuretic (water pill) type of medication. The medication works by removing excess fluid and salt through urine while minimizing potassium loss. By treating edema in patients with a history of kidney disease, liver disease or heart failure, it can decrease the risk of symptoms such as shortness of breath and swelling of the arms, legs and abdomen. Some people may also take the drug is smaller doses to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).
