What is Glyco 6 Cream?
Glyco 6 Cream containing the active ingredient glycolic acid is a naturally occurring substance called alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) and can be found in products such as fruits, milk and sugar cane. The medication has an exfoliating effect to help break up dead skin cells which have come together in unhealthy ways which leads to healthier skin. The cream has a variety of usages such as treating or preventing acne, fading of scars caused by acne, lightening of the skin color and even treats wrinkles for an anti-aging effect.
How is Glyco 6 Cream used?
Glyco 6 Cream is usually applied topically once per day at nighttime or as directed by a doctor. The medication should be eased into and on the first night it should only be applied for 10 minutes before being washed off. On subsequent night increase the time by 30 minutes until it can be left on for 2 hours. If you do not notice major problems, it can be left on the skin for overnight treatment.
Prior to applying the medication, wash and dry your hands and the affected areas thoroughly. Spread a thin layer of the cream onto the darkened area and gently massage it in until it disappears. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy.
Adverse effects
Patients using Glyco 6 Cream may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Redness or irritation at application site
- Oily skin
- Sensitivity to light
- Dry or peeling skin
- Hypo pigmentation

Warnings
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun as it will cause the skin to become extremely sensitive.
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Glyco 6 Cream is not always suitable for all patients.
