What is Glyco Flex I?
Glyco Flex I is a nutritional supplement for pets perfect for restoration of the joint muscles. It is stage 1 of a comprehensive program that contains glucosamine and green lipped mussel which is a good source of protein and minerals. It is mainly prescribed for puppies and dogs with an early need for joint support to maintain healthy joints and hip or joint dysfunction. It hydrates the joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage.
How is Glyco Flex I used?
Glyco Flex I should be taken orally once per day or as directed by a veterinarian. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the pet’s weight, condition and response to the therapy. The recommended initial dose is 1/2 a tablet daily for pets up to 30lbs. Pets weighing between 31 to 60lbs should take 1 tablet per day, pets weighing between 61 and 100lbs should be given 2 tablets per day and any pets over 100lbs should be given 2 1/2 tablets per day for 4 to 6 weeks initially. For a maintenance dose pets weighing up to 30lbs should be given 1/2 tablet every other day. Pets weighing between 31 to 60lbs should be given 1/2 tablet daily, pets weighing 61 to 100lbs should be given 1 tablet and any pets over 100lbs should be given 1 1/2 tablets per day as a maintenance dose.
Adverse effects
Glyco Flex I is generally very well tolerated with no reported side effects. Contact a veterinarian immediately should you notice any irregularities in the pet.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Glyco Flex I is not always suitable for all animals. Always consult your veterinarian prior to using this medication if your pet is pregnant, breastfeeding, breeding, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if it has any allergies or other health problems.
The correct dosage and prescription commonly depend on the animal and the condition being treated. Do not adjust the dosage without the approval of your veterinarian. This product is only for use as prescribed and instructed. |
