Arrow-Simva works by slowing the production of cholesterol in the body to decrease the amount of “bad” cholesterol (low density lipoprotein, LDL) and triglycerides and raise “good” cholesterol (high density lipoprotein, HDL) in the blood. Atacand works by blocking certain natural substances in the body to allow easier blood flow and enabling the heart to pump blood more efficiently by relaxing the blood vessels. The tablets can be taken alone or along with other medication to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and congestive heart failure. Controlling high blood pressure can help reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes and kidney problems.

Atacand has been approved for once-daily treatment of hypertension. Atacand belongs to a group of antihypertensive medications called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARB) which represent the first new class of antihypertensive agents in the United States in more than a decade.

Atorlip-5 should be used along with a proper diet and exercise regimen to raise “good” cholesterol (HDL) while lowering “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides in the blood. The active ingredient atorvastatin calcium can also help decrease the amount of cholesterol that may have built up on the walls of the arteries. It is considered a HMG CoA reductase inhibitor or statins type of medication. Lowering cholesterol levels in the body can help decrease the risk of heart complications, heart attacks and strokes.
