What is Keto-Diastix? Keto-Diastix are reagent strips that allow the testing for glucose and ketones in the urine.
How is Keto-Diastix used? Keto-Diastix comes packaged as a container of 50 test strips. On the side of each container is a color chart for each of the two tests - the ketone test and the glucose test.
To test for glucose and ketones, pass the end of the strip containing the two test areas through the urine stream, or collect a sample of urine in a clean container and did the test end of the strip into the urine. After 15 seconds, check the ketone test area (the inner most test area) against the ketone color chart. After 30 seconds, do the same with the outer test area against the Glucose color chart.
