What is Lamitor DT-100?
Lamitor containing the active ingredient lamotrigine is considered an anti-epileptic type of medication. The medication works by stabilizing abnormal electrical activity on the brain. The medication can be used alone or with other types of medication to treat seizures in patients suffering from epilepsy or Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Some patients may also use the medication to increase the time between episodes of bipolar disorder, mania and depression.
How is Lamitor DT-100 used?
Lamitor is usually taken 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The dispersible tablets can be swallowed whole, chewed or allowed to disperse in 1 teaspoon of liquid for 1 minute before consuming. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor as abruptly discontinuing the medication may cause the seizures to return or severe withdrawal symptoms.

Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Lamitor DT-100 is not always suitable for all patients.
