What is Lipitor?
Lipitor belongs to a class of cholesterol lowering agents called 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl (HMG)-CoA reductase inhibitors. It is used in combination with diet modification to treat primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) in those at risk for coronary artery disease who have not responded to other treatments alone.

Adverse effects
