What is Locoid Lipocream?
Locoid Lipocream is a corticosteroid cream prescribed to treat a wide variety of skin conditions. It operates by reducing inflammation, pain, and swelling. This makes it a very effective treatment for conditions such as eczema, rashes, itching, or allergic reactions. How is Locoid Lipocream used?
Locoid Lipocream is a topically administered medication applied 2 to 4 times per day unless otherwise directed by a doctor. Prior to treatment wash and dry the affected area and hands thoroughly with mild soap and water. To apply, place a thin layer of the cream onto the affected area and gently massage it into the skin until it disappears. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. Do not apply the cream to damaged or broken skin to avoid undesired side effects or symptoms.
Adverse effects
Although normally well tolerated, Locoid Lipocream may cause side effects in some patients. These can range from mild to severe and may include:

- Thinning or sensitive skin
- Stretch marks
- Unusual hair growth at the application site
- Burning sensation
