What is Losartan?
Losartan belongs to a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. The medication works by blocking the action of certain natural substances to help relax blood vessels and improve blood flow through the body. It is prescribed to lower blood pressure and treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Keeping your blood pressure in check can help prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems.
How is Losartan used?
