What is MYONIT INSTA?
Myonit Insta containing the active ingredient glyceryl trinitrate is considered a nitrate vasodilator type of medication. The medication works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels of the heart so it does not need to work as hard to pump blood. The tablets are used by patients with coronary artery disease to treat and prevent chest pain caused by angina pectoris. Some people may also use it to stop spasms in the blood vessels of the heart.
How is MYONIT INSTA used?
Myonit Insta should be taken as soon as possible after you recognize an angina attack or as directed by a doctor. One tablet should be placed under the tongue and allowed to dissolve slowly. The dose should dissolve within 5 minutes. Repeat the dose after 5 minutes if symptoms are not relieved. The maximum recommended dosage is 3 doses in 15 minutes, if pain continues, call your health care provider. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to their therapy.
Adverse effects
Patients using Myonit Insta may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Flushing
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Blurred vision
- Vomiting
- Fainting
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Worsening of chest pain
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or worsen.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
MYONIT INSTA is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.
