What is Malaseb Combo Pack?
Malaseb Combo Pack is a combination antifungal and antibacterial shampoo along with an antibiotic conditioner. The medicated shampoo and conditioner is a great starter kit for dogs with itchy skin caused by dermatitis. The shampoo can be used to remove excess scale and allergens causing skin irritation, degrease the skin and to kill micro organisms to keep bacteria and yeasts levels manageable. The conditioner can be used as an aid in the treatment and prevention of dermatophytosis (ringworms).
How is Malaseb Combo Pack used?
Malaseb should be used topically 2 times per week until symptoms abate, then as directed by a veterinarian. Contact a veterinarian for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the pet’s condition and their response to the therapy. To apply the shampoo, first wet the animal’s coat with clean water, then sponge the shampoo solution onto their coat and let the medication stand for 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. The conditioner is a leave-on medication that should be applied after shampooing the pet.
Adverse effects
Malaseb is generally very safe to use with minimal side effects. Contact a veterinarian immediately should you notice any irregularities in the pet’s behavior.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Malaseb Combo Pack is not always suitable for all animals.
