What is Megaderm?
Megaderm is an oral nutritional supplement of essential fatty acids (EFA) for dogs and cats. The sachets provide the optimal 5:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3. The supplements works by restoring skin integrity and providing an anti-inflammatory effect. It is mainly used to treat skin allergies, inflammation and to improve luster and smoothness of your pet’s coat.
How is Megaderm used?
Megaderm should be squeezed into your pet’s food once per day. Use one full 8ml sachet for dogs weighing between 10 to 20kg. For dogs that weigh over 20kg, the recommended dosage is 2 sachets, once daily. Contact a veterinarian for correct dosage as it will depend on the pet’s condition, their weight and their response to the supplements.
Adverse effects
Megaderm is usually well tolerated by pets with no known side effects.
Warnings
Immediately proceed to the veterinarian if your pet suffers an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Megaderm is not always suitable for all animals. Always consult your veterinarian prior to using this medication if your pet is pregnant, breastfeeding, breeding, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if it has any allergies or other health problems.
