What is Melanorm Cream?
Melanorm Cream containing the active ingredient hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent used to lighten dark patches of skin. It works by decreasing the formation of melanin, the pigment in skin that gives it a brown color. The medication is used to lighten areas of darkened skin such as age spots, freckles, melasma, chloasma and hyperpigmentation.
How is Melanorm Cream used?
Melanorm Cream is usually applied topically 1 to 2 times per day or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. Prior to applying the medication, wash and dry your hands and the affected area thoroughly. Spread just enough cream to cover the affected area and gently massage it in. Wash your hands immediately after applying the medication unless they are part of the affected area.
