What is Melonex Oral Suspension?
Melonex Oral Suspension is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to prevent and treat arthritis in elderly dogs. The medication prevents the immune system from releasing chemicals known as prostaglandins that are responsible for the symptoms caused by the body's response to arthritis. This makes it useful for reducing joint pain, difficulty moving, and other symptoms associated with arthritis. It may also be prescribed by your veterinarian to treat other unlisted conditions.
How is Melonex Oral Suspension used?
Melonex Oral Suspension is usually administered orally between 1 and 3 times a day. In most cases it can be either mixed with water or given directly without any dilution. Dosage and frequency of administration should be determined only by your vet, as it can vary depending on the dog's health and medical history, in addition to the severity of the condition being treated. Your dog will require regular checkups while using this medication to ensure it remains the best treatment option for the dog. Do not miss these appointments.
