What is Naprosyn SR?
Naprosyn SR is used to treat signs of rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis. The active ingredient naproxen is used to stop the production of certain natural substances that can cause pain, fevers and inflammation. It is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) type of medication. Some people may also use the drug to treat menstrual cramps, acute gout, bursitis and tendinitis.
How is Naprosyn SR used?
Naprosyn SR should be taken along with some food and a full glass of water to prevent an upset stomach. The sustained release tablet should be taken once daily or as directed by your doctor.
