It is mainly prescribed to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Some patients may even use the medication to treat tendinitis, bursitis, gout and even menstrual cramps.
How is Naprosyn used?
Naprosyn is usually taken 2 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The tablets should be taken with a full glass of water along with some food to prevent an upset stomach. Dosage is based on the patient’s medical condition and their response to the treatment, contact a doctor for the correct dosage. The tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed, chewed or broken to prevent too much of the drug to be released at one time. For patients that require the treatment for long periods of time, your doctor may order regular checkups to ensure the medication is not causing harmful effects.
