What is Noflam-250?
Noflam (Naproxen) belongs to a class of medications called non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing hormones in the body that cause inflammation, pain and fevers. It is used to treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Some patients may also use the tablets to treat pain and inflammation caused by menstrual cramps, tendinitis, bursitis and acute gout attacks.
How is Noflam-250 used?
Noflam is usually taken orally 2 to 3 times per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication should be taken with some food or an antacid along with a full glass of water to prevent an upset stomach. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient's response to the therapy. The tablets should be swallowed whole and not broken, crushed or chewed to prevent too much of the drug from being released at one time. Your doctor may order regular checkups to ensure the medication is not causing harmful effects in patients that require the treatment for a lengthy period of time.
