What is Norpress?
Norpress with the active ingredient nortriptyline hydrochloride is in a group of medications called tricyclic antidepressants. It works by preventing certain natural substances, mainly serotonin and noradrenaline from being reabsorbed into the nerve cells to prolong their mood lightening effect and maintaining mental balance. It is mainly prescribed to treat and control major depressive disorders. Some people may also use the medication to treat nerve pain, anxiety, panic disorders or bedwetting in children.

How is Norpress used?
Norpress should be taken orally between 1 to 4 times per day. It is important to take the medication with or just after a meal to prevent an upset stomach. The dosage will depend on the condition being treated and the patient's reaction to the medication, consult a doctor for the correct dosage. It is important to continue the medication until you consult a doctor as the patient may encounter severe side effects or relapse in their condition if the medication is stopped abruptly.

Adverse effects
