Some people may also use the medication to treat certain types of angina and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease.
How is Norvasc used?
Norvasc should be taken as directed by a doctor, usually once daily. The tablets can be taken with or without food but should be taken with plenty of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patient’s reaction to the medication. For maximum effectiveness the doctor may change your dosage periodically. The drug can be used to treat hypertension and angina but cannot be used to cure them.
